TURMERIC

Description

Turmeric essential oil, derived from the Curcuma longa plant, is a perennial herb native to the tropical regions of India and Malaysia. It belongs to the same family as ginger and grows to a height of 3–4 feet [0.9–1.2 m]. The oil is obtained through steam distillation of the plant's rhizome (root), which imparts its distinctive yellow-orange color. Turmeric essential oil is renowned for its powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It supports joint health, promotes overall wellness, and is a popular choice in natural remedies. The oil's warm, earthy aroma makes it a valuable addition to both aromatherapy and personal care products. Its versatility extends to skincare, where it helps to improve complexion and reduce signs of aging, as well as to household applications for its antimicrobial benefits.
